About the Competition

What We're Looking For:

We're on the lookout for promising founding teams and startups from Japan rooted in the university and research environment. If you're eager to collaborate with German startups, companies, and research institutions to tap into the European market, this competition is tailor-made for you.

We're particularly interested in the following categories:

  • Deeptech/Industry
  • Life Sciences, Health & Sports
  • Sustainability & EduTech
     

What We Expect:

Apart from a compelling pitch, we expect applicants to have a basic command of the English language and a strong motivation to establish connections in Germany.

Competition Process:

Our jury will review submissions and invite selected startups for personal Zoom discussions.

The winning startup will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Central Germany, including tickets to prestigious events like the Born Global Startup Festival and the Investor Days Thuringia.

Additionally, you'll have access to networking opportunities and coaching sessions.

 

For All Participants: 

Even if your startup isn't selected as the winner, you'll still receive an invitation to a hybrid event.

Here, you'll have another chance to pitch digitally or attend in person at your own expense. We're eager to meet you and explore potential collaborations!
